| Club Member Requirements |
|
- Check-in begins at 3:50pm in the Family Life Center foyer. Please enter on the side of the building. All children are under the supervision of their parents until checked in for club. This year, Cubbies will have the same check in schedule as the older clubbers. All club activities start promptly at 4:00pm and end at promptly at 6pm. Approved parent (or guardian) must check out the clubber(s).
- Obey all Awana leaders and respect teammates.>
- Clubber must participate in all activities (unless temporarily excused from games with a note from parents).
- Respect and care for church property and other people at all times.
- Running is allowed only on the Game Circle during certain games
- UnIforms and handbooks may be purchased when clubbers have completed their entrance booklet. Upon receiving the uniform, the clubber should wear it to every regular Awana meeting. Information on pricing can be obtained through the club commander or club secretary. Tennis or gym shoes are part of the Awana uniform and must be worn each meeting. These items are not provided in purchase price.
- The uniform should be clean and in good condition.
- Awards are presented only to clubbers who have are in uniform. Clubbers who have earned awards and are not in uniform will receive their awards at the next club meeting they attend and are in uniform.
- Five Count:
When a leader or director begins to count one to five out loud, everyone should IMMEDIATELY be quiet and still and stand at attention…do not count! Only the leader or director will count audibly.
- Three Count:
Commanders and Directors utilize the "three count" for individuals not following club behavior standards. If a clubber receives three warnings in one meeting, he or she will spend the rest of the evening separated from the other clubbers. In severe cases, the clubber may be suspended from attending for up to two weeks. The Commander will determine whether the clubber will serve a one- or two-week suspension from club.
- Clubbers are only allowed to bring items associated with the club meeting such as Bible, friend, special event items, etc. Other items such as toys, hand held games, hats, etc., will be given to the Commander or director and returned at the end of the club meeting.
- A maximum of two helps per section are allowed. Each section must be passed by clubbers in one listening session.
- A section is considered to be Word Perfect if and only if it adheres to the rules found in the Perfect Word, Memory Perfect section of this document.
- Awana clubbers are encouraged to regularly attend club and Sunday school. To receive attendance awards, attendance must comply with the following Awana standards:
- One unexcused and or two excused absences* per quarter of club (nine week period).
- Two unexcused absences or 3 excused absences* per half of a Sunday school quarter.
- Excused absences* must be verified by a note from the parent or guardian.
- The number of allowable excused absences is at the discretion of the club Director.
*Absence is considered excused for the following reasons: Illness of the clubber or the parent who cannot get the clubber to the meeting, a death in the family, a family crisis or emergency situation
