General Information

Can I meet my child’s leader?
Absolutely, please call your child’s director (above) or, Matt Duvall 770-354-8532
Are there special events for my child other than regular club meetings?
There sure are!  We will have our calendar on our website.
What ages does Noonday’s Awana Club cover?
The ages are:
  Cubbies:                         3 years (as of Sept. 1, 2007) & 4 years
  Sparks:                           K-2nd grade
  Truth & Training (T&T):  3rd through 5th grades
Are there any awards that my child can earn?
Each club has several opportunities.
A rank (a patch or award) is achieved by completing a handbook.
Several other uniform awards can be acquired throughout the year.
Is there a system of security?
Clubbers will be checked in and out by an approved parent or guardian at the check in desks only.
All transitions from one area of the campus to the other are executed by at lease two adults.
What is the club meeting format?
There are four sections to a club night:
  • Opening Activities include flag ceremonies, awards and club announcements.
  • Game Time is the time for play.
  • Handbook Time is the time to work on Rank activities.
  • Counsel Time is a group gathering to sing and learn about God.
  • Can my child bring their friends to a club meeting?
    Most definitely!  This is one of the main goals of the club.
    Friends are welcome at any time and clubbers can earn extra
    shares by bringing a friend on our monthly “buddy” night.
    Club Times & Locations

    Where to drop off/pick up my child?
    Now all ages will check in at the front of the Family Life Center building.
    What day of the week is the Awana club meeting?
    Sunday
    What are the start and end times for each club meeting?
    3:50pm (check-in) to 6pm
    What are the start and end dates for the club year?
    Sunday, August 19th 2007 through May 18th, 2008.
    How do I register my child for Awana?
    Registration can occur at any time during the club year.
    The formal registration will be on Sunday August 12th @ 3PM.
    (An ice cream social will follow)..
    Club Fees and Costs

    Is there an initiation (or initial) fee for my child to join the club?
    This year we have a $7 registration fee for each child with a cap of $15 dollars per family.
    Is there a fee for my clubber’s uniform?
    Yes.
    There is a fee and it varies by club.
      The cubbies and sparks vests are each $17.
      The shirt required by T&T clubbers is $19.
    Are there fees for materials?
    Yes.
    The cost of each book is $7.
    Are there club dues?
    Yes.
    The club dues are $1 to cover the cost of our Awana store.
    Are there sponsorships available for my clubber?
    Yes.
    Noonday wants to provide these for you!
