Missions

Noonday's philosophy of missions is to be an Acts 1:8 church, "...and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."  Our "Jerusalem" is the Metro Atlanta area; "Judea" is anything within a day’s drive; "Samaria" would include any similar culture/language nation; "remotest part of the earth" reaches around the globe.  We believe it is not enough to just send money and let others do the work—though financial support through the Cooperative Program is certainly a vital part of missions at Noonday.  However, there is something very powerful that happens when someone steps outside of their comfort zone and experiences another culture, another's heartache and need.  Their lives are changed and upon returning home their passion for missions burns a little brighter.

Church Planting

One of the ways Noonday seeks to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth is through planting churches. This includes churches of different cultures on our own campus as well as churches in other states and countries. The following churches have been planted over the past 5 1/2 years.  During that time, we have seen over 12,200 baptisms in these church plants.  We have been able to reach over 250,000 people and presented the gospel in excess of 50,000 times.

Local Ministry Partners

We also seek to share the love of Christ by helping those in our community who are in need by partnering with local ministries. These partners are equipped to meet the specific needs of those hurting and alone in our community in ways we as a church alone cannot do.  Noonday regularly provides opportunities for our members to pray, give and/or go to help these ministries. Some of our local partners are:

Short Term Trips

Each year we sponsor several short term international mission trips.  Groups of church members travel to international locations to minister with our church plants, rescue children, build wells, feed the hungry and in all things share the love of Christ.  The video below is a link to a news story done on one of our recent trips.

Church Programs

Above all Noonday desires to have programs that reach out to those in our community with the love of Christ.  Partnerships with other ministries is essential; however, it is equally important for our church to have a direct impact for Christ in our community. Some of the programs that we regularly offer are:

English As A Second Language Classes
Citizenship Classes
Single Mom's Ministry
Helping Hands Craft Ministry
Homebound Ministry
Seniors / Homebound Cleanup
