Children

At Noonday, we believe children are a blessing from the Lord. We also believe that childhood is a critical time in the social, emotional and especially the spiritual development of a person.  Because of these two facts, we take our children’s ministry here at Noonday very seriously.  In all our activities we strive to create a safe, fun and effective environment where parents feel confident leaving their kids, kids enjoy their time, and the Word of God can have an impact on each child's life.

Below you will find an overview of each ministry we offer to our children at Noonday.  Each program is staffed by trained and screened volunteers who have a passion for teaching children God’s Word.  If you have any specific questions on any of the activities please contact us.

 A Word on Security

For all of our children’s activities, kids must be checked in by a parent or guardian.  Upon check-in the parent will receive a security card.  Adults picking up that child must have the security card or a photo ID that matches a pre-approved list of adults eligible to pick up the child.  At all services, parents of preschoolers are given a pager and will be notified if they are needed in the Preschool Area.

Children's LIFE Groups

We have age/grade specific small group Bible studies every Sunday morning from 9:30 am until 10:45 am in the Kingdom Kids downstairs on the East Campus.  Classes are available for children birth through 4th grade.  All age groups use a story-based curriculum from Gospel Light Publishing.  The lessons are Bible based and interactive.  You can see an overview of the curriculum here.

KID Worship

We have two Children’s Church programs every Sunday morning from 11:00am until 12:30pm; this program is for children in grades 1 through 3.  KID Worship recreates each element of adult worship in a way that helps the children understand what the element is and how they can participate.  The goal of this program is to give children the skills and understanding they need to become effective participants in Big Church (church wide worship).  There are times for singing, praying, giving and teaching.  Children even learn to take notes from the sermon using pictures.

Preschool Worship

Our second Children’s Church program is for our Preschool age children from 4 years old through Kindergarten. This program is a mix of video based curriculum and active play. We use the Little-K curriculum by Kid-Mo. You can view the curriculum by clicking here and then clicking on Lil' K.

Awana

Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and it is our Wednesday night program for children Age 3 through 4th grade.  Awana is a great program with a long history. There is an active worship time, a game time, a large group teaching time and scripture memorization--its focus.  Awana starts in the Family Life Center on our West Campus at 6:30pm and ends at 8:00pm.  Awana runs during the school year from mid-August until mid-May.  If you would like more information on the program you can view their website here.

Ultimate Adventure

Ultimate Adventure is our Creative Arts Program for grade school children on Wednesday nights during the summer.  Ultimate Adventure meets on our East Campus from 6:30pm until 8:00pm.  In Ultimate Adventure children participate in singing, drama and other art forms, all for the purpose of worshiping God.
